A network for cultural heritage

The ViSIT project was realized with several partners who worked together bilaterally and interdisciplinary.

The participating institutions carried out

- the development of a technical infrastructure with a database and special software

- the digitization of selected objects and the preparation of data

- the curating of two new exhibitions on the basis of ViSIT

- accompanying measures of tourism research

In addition, associate partners supported the ViSIT project and were decisive in shaping the network of castles, palaces and residences in the region of Inn, Salzach and Danube. The operators of the historic sites took an active part in

- letting the respective historic site participate in the ViSIT context

- collecting and feeding objects and information for the virtual depot

- to use ViSIT for curation

- to support the ViSIT network, also by communicating their partnership
